🚗 Approaching the Property
1The property is on the right, accessed by a shared driveway.
2The driveway splits into a Y — Benifloret gates are on the left; the lower garage & garden terrace access is on the right.
3To open the main gates, walk down the right-hand side drive past the lower garage, then walk left across the terrace towards the well.
4At the well, turn left and walk up the steps towards the Villa.
🔑 Key Safe
1The villa keys are in the key safe in the outside kitchen, opposite the swimming pool — slightly to the right of the villa when at the top of the steps.
2The key safe is on the right wall of the outside kitchen.
3To reach the driveway gates from inside the grounds, walk back towards the steps. At the top of the steps, carry straight on across the courtyard.
4At the back of the gates, you'll find two bolts locking into the ground — one for each gate. Lift both bolts and open the gates, then drive into the courtyard.
💧 Main Water Supply
1The mains water control is on the left wall, just before the main entrance gate.
2On arrival: Turn the farthest lever to the left (red lever) to activate the water supply.
3On leaving: Turn this lever off before you go.

Benifloret is fitted with CCTV cameras for security purposes. These will be disabled for the duration of your stay to ensure complete privacy. They are reactivated once guests have departed.

How everything works at Benifloret

Air Conditioning
Each bedroom has its own A/C unit with a dedicated remote. Please avoid running the A/C during the day — it works best in the evenings and overnight.

Lights & Ceiling Fans
Both the lights and ceiling fan in each bedroom are operated via the white remote. Light on/off: wall switch or bulb key. Coloured buttons change light type; dimmer adjusts brightness. Fan speeds: 1–6. Fan off: press the fan symbol (top left).

Drinks Fridge
There's a fridge-freezer in the garage, great for keeping drinks cold and extra supplies. Feel free to use it throughout your stay.

Water Supply
Main mains control is on the left wall before the entrance gate. Red lever — on at arrival, off at departure.

Rubbish & Recycling
Spain requires you to take waste to public disposal points in Cocentaina. Separate: cans/glass/plastic, tetrapaks, card/paper, and general waste.

🚪 Securing the Gates When Leaving
1Due to high winds, both gates should be bolted into the ground when leaving the property at the end of your stay.
2From inside, walk back towards the steps and across the courtyard to the gates.
3Close each gate and drop both bolts into the ground bolt holes — one for each gate.
4Lock the gates with the key and return the key to the key safe.

Swimming Pool

How to set up and use the pool during your stay

🏊 Removing the Pool Cover on Arrival
1The pool cover is removed using the roller provided at the side of the pool. This is a two-person job — it's much easier with a helping hand!
2Position one person at each end of the roller and begin winding the cover onto the roller, working from one end of the pool to the other.
3As the cover rolls up, remove the bungee cords progressively to free the cover from the pool edge as you go.
4Once fully rolled, leave the cover rolled up at the end of the pool on the roller.
💧 Important: If water has collected on top of the cover, this will need to be syphoned off using the hose provided before starting cover removal — trying to roll a waterlogged cover is hard work and risks spilling dirty water into the pool.
🔒 Replacing the Cover When Leaving
1Again, this is a two-person job — grab a helper before starting.
2Position the roller at one end of the pool and unroll the cover back across, working towards the far end.
3As the cover unrolls, reattach the bungee cords progressively along each side to secure the cover to the pool edge.
4Check the cover is fully secured on all sides before leaving the pool area.
💡 Pool Lighting
1There are two pool lights.
2Both are activated using the switch beneath the rectangular box on the lamp post.

🚿 Outdoor Shower

The outdoor shower is to the left of the pool when facing it from the villa. We'd really appreciate it if you could use it both before and after swimming.


Sun cream creates an oily film on the water surface which weakens the chlorine and clouds the water — a quick rinse before jumping in makes a big difference to everyone's enjoyment. Thank you!

🧪 Pool Maintenance
1Chlorine levels should be tested at least once every other day using the test kit provided. Keeping the water balanced makes swimming much more enjoyable for everyone.
2Chlorine is added via the chlorine float in the pool — this should be kept full at all times throughout your stay.
3The robot vacuum is stored in the garage. It's a great help in keeping the pool floor clean — simply place it in the pool on arrival and plug it into the socket on the right-hand lamp post.
4The robot's collection basket should be cleaned regularly — at least once every three days, or more often if the pool is seeing heavy use.
5A skimmer net is provided for keeping the water surface clear of leaves and debris — a quick skim each day keeps things looking lovely.

☀️ Outdoor Furniture

Sun loungers and the outdoor sofa and chairs are stored in the garage — feel free to set them up as you like.


The outdoor sofa is best placed on the veranda and fits together with hand-tightened screws underneath the chairs — no tools needed.


Please remember to lift the cushions overnight. Feral cats in the area are known to sleep on them — a quick lift each evening keeps everything clean and dry for the next day!

⚠️ Pool Safety: Please don't swim alone. Children should be supervised at all times around the pool, and the cover should be secured whenever the pool isn't in use.

  • 🛒 Replenish anything you've used during your stay — basics like washing up liquid, toilet rolls, coffee pods etc. are really appreciated by the next guests
  • 🧹 Leave the property reasonably tidy for the next guests

  • 🍶 Pour cooking oils or grease down the drains
  • 🎉 Host events or parties beyond the registered guest group
  • 🔊 Play loud music late at night — neighbours are nearby
  • 🚗 Block the shared driveway or obstruct access
  • 🌡 Run the A/C during the day — it's best used in the evenings and overnight
  • 🪣 Flush anything other than toilet paper
  • 🏡 Sub-let or bring along undeclared guests
  • 👙 Sit on the sofas or chairs in wet swimwear
  • 🚿 Forget to shower in the evening — sun cream on bed linen is very difficult to remove
  • 🐱 Feed the feral cats — they're persistent and will keep coming back for more!
